WHAT WAS THE EQUIVALENT OF A SMART WATCH IN VICTORIAN TIMES?

British actress Victoria Atkin stars as Evie Frye, the first female assassin of the Assassin’s Creed franchise’s newest release Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.  Atkin spent almost half a year doing both motion capture and voice over for the role. 

In addition to the Assassin’s Creed Syndicate release, October 23rd also marks the 20th anniversary of the classic British TV Series, Hollyoaks, in which Atkins got her start. She received accolades for her portrayal of transgender teen Jasmine/Jason Costello, the first fictional transgender adolescent on British television. For the role, she met with Prime Minister David Cameron and Channel 4 executives to sign a memorandum of understanding to accurately portray transgender people in the media. Atkin landed the role only six months after graduating from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. (Alumni include Sir Laurence Olivier, Vanessa Redgrave, and Natasha Richardson.) Atkin’s other acting credits include a recurring role in the cable series The Girl’s Guide to Depravity.  Her upcoming projects include the film The Downside of Bliss and most recently, her first novelLondon Love was published.

Victoria Atkin’s character commands a starring role in the Assassin’s Creed Syndicate: Evie Frye, along with her brother Jacob Frye, are twin assassins who employ deadly weapons and cunning to fight the oppression of a corrupt ruling class in the underworld of Victorian-era London.  In Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Evie and Jacob must recruit a gang to take back London for the working class through swift and brutal combat. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will be available on October 23rd, 2015 on PS4 and Xbox One.
